Systematics will not only be the first meeting of the federation of European systematic societies BioSyst EU, but also the 7th meeting in the biennal series of meetings of the Systematics Association (UK) and the 11th annual meeting of the GfBS (Germany).
This major conference will cover all taxonomic groups and methodological avenues to encourage synergy in the European systematics community at large. Currently, several symposia are being considered, dedicated a.o. to Microbial systematics, Flower morphology, Species circumscription and concepts. Workshops will be dedicated a.o. to Annonaceae, Web-based taxonomy, Bryophyte evolution. During or adjacent to the symposium, training sessions will be given for the EDIT Scratchpads (limited attendance).
