Belgian GTI NFP launches new call for proposals

New call for proposals in regard to ‘taxonomic training and access to collections in Belgium’

The Belgian Focal Point to the Global Taxonomy Initiative, housed at the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences in Brussels, wishes to inform you on recent developments in our project for capacity building in taxonomy and collection management.

On 30 January 2009 the Belgian GTI node has officially launched its new call for proposals in regard to ‘taxonomic training and access to collections in Belgium’.

With the following web entry it is now possible to retrieve relevant information:
http://www.biodiv.be/cooperation/gti_coop/calls-proposals

Applications can be submitted until March 15, 2009.

The application form can be downloaded as a Word file from the linked website or can be provided by email to interested parties. If electronic submission should be impossible, paper copies can also be sent by ordinary mail to the address mentioned below. The application form must at all times be complemented with a recent curriculum vitae.

The Belgian GTI Focal Point will give preference to those applicants who need a follow-up visit to Belgium to finalize their taxonomic project started during an earlier call. However, new students will still be accepted, given that they come from a scientific institution with which the Belgian GTI Focal Point has a privileged relationship.
