The Royal Museum for Central Africa is looking for a specialist in Geospatial Services. The position consists in:
- Coordinating an international team of developers of the geospatial components in biodiversity- and taxonomy-oriented EU projects
- Implementation and evaluation of an online geospatial infrastructure
- Contributing to teaching activities, documentation and user-manuals
- Participating to georeferencing activities in the field and proper databasing of collected information
Requirements:
- Good experience in developing and implementing GIS tools and Libraries
- Familiarity with OGC and INSPIRE guidelines and standards is a serious asset
- Knowledge and experience in programming languages is preferable
- Previous experience in working for EU projects is a plus
- Working in an international context good speaking writing and reading skills in English are a requirement
- Accepting flexible working hours and regular travel for meetings abroad
