The Royal Museum for Central Africa is looking for a specialist in Geospatial Services. The position consists in:

• Coordinating an international team of developers of the geospatial components in biodiversity- and taxonomy-oriented EU projects
• Implementation and evaluation of an online geospatial infrastructure
• Contributing to teaching activities, documentation and user-manuals
• Participating to georeferencing activities in the field and proper databasing of collected information

Requirements:

• Good experience in developing and implementing GIS tools and Libraries
• Familiarity with OGC and INSPIRE guidelines and standards is a serious asset
• Knowledge and experience in programming languages is preferable
• Previous experience in working for EU projects is a plus
• Working in an international context good speaking writing and reading skills in English are a requirement
• Accepting flexible working hours and regular travel for meetings abroad
