The Encyclopedia of Life (EOL) seeks applications from individuals with experience in implementing large-scale software development projects to lead the informatics group of the Encyclopedia of Life project. The Director, Biodiversity Informatics Group, is a senior position with responsibility for managing a team of developers and IT support staff located at the Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) in Woods Hole, Massachusetts, USA. The successful candidate will be employed by the MBL and will be expected to take up residence nearby. The Director of the Biodiversity Informatics Group will work with other EOL leaders to establish team goals, deadlines, processes, and expectations, and will then implement and oversee the development process.
