Report Networks of Participation (C1.4.5)

Between March 2006 and February 2010 EDIT held a variety of meetings and events that drew visitors from different countries and expert backgrounds with an interest in taxonomy and taxonomic products and services. Topics addressed in the meetings are: taxonomic science infrastructures; IT integrative and standardisation efforts; field methodologies; the creation of world wide collaborative networks;  a common communication strategy on biodiversity and training students and researchers on the use of the latest taxonomic research tools.

Statistics on the meetings like the number of meetings held, when and where they took place, number of participants, number of times an institution has participated, number of times a country was represented etc – are compiled the report Networks of Participation. The data illustrate a web of connections between EDIT and stakeholders in taxonomy.

Part of the statistical data from the report are presented in geographical, interactive maps. To display maps* click at the links at the op of this page.
